England Cricket Board conveys The NatWest T20 Blast which was known as The Friends Life t20 competition before 2014 edition. The new edition of the tournament consisting 18 (eighteen) franchise which are split into two group. The groups are named as North Division and South Division, where they each considering nine first class domestic team. 2016 season will be the third edition of this honorable competition which going to be commenced from 20th May 2016. The tournament is rendered under the administration of England Cricket Board (ECB) in Wales and England.

The first edition was grabbed by Birmingham Bears who won the title by defeating Lancashire in debut season. Lancashire became the most successful franchise in NatWest T20 Blast who played two time in final and one time title holder of the competition. The full competition divided into two part, group and knockout stage. In the group round every contestant team have to play 14 games in the consisting group. One team have to face six teams for twice, where one will be played at home and the other at rival home. The other two matches will be executed against the two residual team in once and that’s way one team finish 14 matches in group stages.
Point getting system:
The winner team will get 2 points for per win and the loser team will not get any point. In case of abandon or tie match, 1 point will be obtained to both team. After finishing the group round the top four franchises will qualify for the knockout round where they will play semi-final
