The Gunners are currently working to bolster their midfield option despite being couple of talented midfielders in their current squad named Aaron Ramsey, Mesut Ozil, Chamberlain and two others. Besides, Wenger also bought Swiss midfielder Granit Xhaka in last summer transfer window. But however, he is shifting his eyes here and there for another player who would be worthy enough for long term. Now, he has found one who has started to impress recently. He is Ivorian teenager Franck Kessie and though he is just 19 but already made his debut in Ivorian national team in 6th September, 2014 against Sierra Leone. He made four international appearances with the national team so far.
According to the player’s agent that the Gunners have visited Italy recently to scout this Ivorian international. But the agent also stated that Arsenal would not be the only possible destination for Kessie because there are others clubs which have interested to land his signature too. As stated by the reports of Italy, Chelsea are observing the player’s status too.
Franck Kessie who spent his youth career with Stella Club which was also his 1st professional club but professionally he did not play any match with them. He moved to the Serie A side Atalanta in 2015 but in the same time, Serie A contender loaned him out to the Cesena. So, the midfielder spent his last season with that club where he made 37 appearances and netted 4 times.
After completing the loan season successfully, he came back to the Goddess and also started with them new Serie A season. He played with the Goddess seven appearances in all competition in this season and scored five goals with an assist. However, he has tall and strong physical figure which seems perfect in midfield position. The Gunners scouts has been impressed by his performance and considered his as one of the most young rising star. He is the most youngest person in highest five leagues competition in Europe. Though, the Gunners are told interest to land this Ivorian international but there are rumours for others. AC Milan, Manchester United, Chelsea and Juventus are also said to be interested for the player’s service. And also they are looking forward to next transfer window which will reopen in January.
But now, Kessie does not think about to leave the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia but to keep playing with Atalanta and wants to focus in Serie A competition which is his first time to play Italian top flight.
