David Alaba is an Austrian national team player who is currently playing for the Bundesliga top flight Bayern Munich but probably would not be there too long and due to that reason he has come to the headline. David Alaba is wanted by English giant Manchester City and there boss Pep Guardiola is reportedly very fond of the Austrian. Over the last summer he was on the radar of Pep Guardiola but failed to land him. But now, he has updated his proposal and willing to offer a large amount which almost £40 million for his service. David basically started his professional tour with the German side but first he was placed in second team squad of the Bavarians. He made his debut with the Bavarians first team in 2010 and till now made almost 141 Bundesliga appearances with them and scored 10 goals so far. Besides, he spent one loan period with 1899 Hoffenheim in January, 2011 and that was his only loan spell. Later, he came back to the Allianz Arena and started to play with their regular squad.
Pep Guardiola is a Spaniard and before joining English side, he worked with the Bavarians for three years and then his one of the favourite apprentice was David Alaba. Guardiola led Bayern consecutive three Bundesliga titles in his three years. So, now, he wants to bring back his apprentice at the Etihad Stadium. He wants to place a £40 million bid now for the Austrian defender though he also knows that it would be difficult to get him in the middle of the season and so, he realises that next summer would be perfect for him to move as well as more realistic. However, former Bayern manager also believes that Alaba is one of the best defender in the world nowadays after Real’s Marcelo and Barca’s Jordi Alba. Besides, David has extra quality that he can able to play in different position frequently like central midfielder, left back or central defence. So, he would be an asset for any club no doubt.
Guardiola is the new boss of Manchester City and reclaim the throne of Premier League but he is yet satisfied of his current defensive line. He wants to replace his current back line with Austrian international where he is regarded as one of the best defender. Besides, Alaba led his team in recently finished UEFA Euro 2016. He is also given new contract by the bavarians in last March and according to the new agreement, he will receive £75k per week for next five years.
