The hosts didn’t take too many time to response as they got back to the level pegging within just 3 minutes. Spanish midfielder Sergio Alvarez levelled the line with his 2nd strike of the campaign.
The game was heading towards a draw but French forward Kevin Gameiro stole the show with a brilliant hat-trick as he smashed 3 goals inside 6 minutes between 80th to 85th minute to seal a massive 4-1 victory for his club and to hand his team 3 vital points. The 29 years old new comer who has joined the club from Sevilla this season has already netted on 12 occasions in the Atletico jersey.
