Man City boss donates €1m to fight COVID-19 in Spain

Man City boss Pep Guardiola donates a million Euro to help fighting the Corona Virus Pandemic in Spain. The whole world is going through a period of crisis as the breakout of such a dangerous virus caused a deadly situation all over the planet. It has not only taken thousands of lives but also caused an economic disaster. Specially the middle and lower class people have been the biggest sufferer due to this condition. Even the economically powerful countries like Spain, Italy are facing something they could rarely imagine before the occurrence of this event.

Huge amount of money needed to face such situation strongly and so many football players and managers have stepped up. Cristiano Ronaldo pledged his hotel as the hospital for the Corona virus affected patients. Bayern Munich super star Robert Lewandowski and his star celebrity wife Anna Lewandowska have donated a million Euro jointly for the very same reason. And on this occasion the Polish sensation’s former club boss, Pep Guardiola followed his footsteps as well. The Man City manager confirmed he has bestowed a million Euro (918,000 GBP) to help fighting the condition. As the Messi lovers were waiting for the Argentine to do something, the FC Barcelona talisman too has donated the very same amount of money just like his former coach.

Spain is one of the mostly affected countries due to this pandemic. It has caused more than 2700 deaths so far there and also affected almost 40 thousands Spaniard. The misery knows no bound for the Southern European country. The money donated by the 49 years old will be used in buying medical equipment and protective material for hospital staff in Catalonia. The former midfielder is currently at his home with his family which is situated in this city.

Angel Soler Daniel foundation revealed in a statement that the highly rated EPL manager has made a donation of one million euros to it for the acquisition and supply of health equipment to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic. Official College of Doctors of Barcelona is leading the fundraising campaign and the foundation is entirely managing it. As there is lacking of health equipment there in the hospitals in Catalonia, the campaign is aiming to obtain the cash donations from the doctors who are the member of the college along with the general people. The collected money will help to finance the alternative 3D production of respirator masks and other protective items for health workers as well.
