English football television pundit, Paul Merson firmly believes, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang is the right man to solve the crisis for Manchester United. The former professional footballer recently revealed what he thinks about the ongoing final third inconsistency of the Red Devils. The most successful English club in the history, has failed to lift the most prestigious title of English football since the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson. They have gone for so many options, had brought in a number of managers since then and sacked most of them. But the football god most probably forgot to smile upon them as the title drought just got longer and longer. Once they used to win the league with number of games remaining in hand but now they are fighting for the top 4 finish!
Ole is at the wheel and the man with the baby face has defeated Guardiola’s Man City thrice in this ongoing season. But one still can complain that, they are still not performing in their level. So the Harlesden born pundit who just turned 52 last Friday has expressed his thoughts about the solution of such problem for the former champions. Merson said, Ole’s side needs someone who can score 20 to 25 goals a season. He actually indicated a consistent scorer up front. Who else would be a better fitting then the current Gunner captain. He believes that, the Gabon international will gift them 25 goals a season and will be the best option to solve the current crisis.
The former English international also advised them to go for someone like Jack Grealish. He added that, with the like of Bruno Fernandes behind his suggested duo, the Red Devils will be a major force in the league. He also said that, Aubameyang is almost 31 and it is probably going to be his last major move in his career. Thus Paul ponders that, the acrobatic striker won’t move to Old Trafford with ambition but for money. He still thinks, the former Borussia Dortmund number 9, will be enough to bring the silverware back in to the Theater of Dreams. Thus he guesses, it will be the money which will play the crucial role to bring him to this Manchester based club.
The move may remind the Utd fans the transfer of Robin Van Persie. He joined Sir Alex’s side during the latest phase of his sublime EPL career and the Dutch sensation helped them winning a very very crucial league title. Let’s see if Aubameyang follows the foot print of his predecessor.
