Schedule of Premier Futsal League: 1st Edition by India 2016

It will be the first time of India that they are going to arrange a Premier Futsal League competition which is governed by Futsal Association of India. The first match will be placed in 15th July, 2016 where Chennai 5s will play against Mumbai 5s at Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium. The tournament will run from 15th July, 2016 to 24th July, 2016. This Futsal tournament will be the multi national tournament where 56 Futsal players from different 21 countries will take part in this season. In each macth, total five players can take part for a team which will consists of three international players, one Indian player and one international soccer marquee player reportedly. There are some famous former football players like Ronaldinho, Hernan Crespo, Ryan Giggs will also participate in this historical event.

# Group Details: Total six franchise teams are going to participate in the first edition of Premier Futsal League in India where they are divided into two equal groups. Let’s see them below.

# Group A –

2. Mumbai
3. Kochi

# Group B –

1. Goa
2. Kolkata
3. Bangalore

This Premier Futsal event is consists of sixteen matches where each team will have to play four matches against rest two group mates and at the end, top two point holders from each group will qualify for semi final. All matches will be hosted in two different venues in India. Let’s have a look below where their list is given.

First six matches will be staged in Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium which is situated in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It was founded in 1993. The rest matches including final will be placed in Peddem Sports Complex, Goa.

Though, for the first season, six franchise teams will compete here which are chosen by elite panel Futsal experts, but in next season it would possibly be expanded.
