The PFA Fans’ player of the month nominees for the December has been announced. Although the short list has been presented by the experts, the vote will be given by the fans to select the player of the month. The fans’ vote will decide the winner from the each category and division. One lucky voting fan from each division (if they belong to UK or Ireland) will get the chance to meet and present the award to the winners.
The voting will start this week for each division. The voting for the Premier League division will take place on Tuesday when the EPL match week 20 kicks off in the new year. The voting for the Sky Bet Championship will be held on Wednesday. Sky Bet League 1 and Sky Bet League 2 votes will take place on Thursday and Friday respectively.
The Shortlist for the English Premier League :
6 players have been placed in the short list as the nominees for the Fans’ player of the month from the top tier of the English football. One player each from Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham, West Ham and Sunderland has been short listed.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Manchester United) : The Swedish superstar of United was in sublime form in the last month. He scored 5 goals in the December and is the second highest scorer of the league with 13 goals so far in the season.
Dele Alli (Tottenham) : The England international has been sensational. He was at the top of his game. He both scored and assisted fluently for the Spurs.
Adam Lallana (Liverpool) : The Liverpool playmaker continued his superb form in the December and was one of the consistent goal scorer for the All Reds.
Jordan Pickford (Sunderland) : The young Black Cats’ goal stopper was the best goal keeper in the league in the December. He was completely unbelievable with the gloves in hand. He was certainly the best player in the David Moyes’ side.
Cesar Azpilicueta (Chelsea) : The Chelsea full back was rock solid at the back. His team is flying high with 13 consecutive league wins.
Dimitri Payet (West Ham) : The French play maker has been brilliant in the last month and was one of the consistent performer for the Slaven Bilic’s side.
