The Dallas Mavericks (often referred to as the Mavs) are an American professional basketball team based in Dallas, Texas. Since their inaugural 1980–81 season, the Mavericks have won three division titles (1987, 2007, 2010), two conference championships (2006, 2011), and one NBA championship (2011).

The value of the Dallas Mavericks increased 4 percent this year, as Forbes estimates the franchise is now worth $1.45 billion in its latest NBA franchise valuations. That ranks No. 9 in the NBA, the same spot the Mavericks had last year. Forbes also said the team earned $194 million in revenue and $40.3 million in operating income.
