Jack Wilshere has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a broken leg. AFC Bournemouth has confirmed it after the midfielder having suffered a hairline fracture in the left fibula. He suffered the injury during his team’s 4-0 defeat against Tottenham as the Arsenal star had collision with his compatriot Harry Kane in the 2nd half of the clash. The England international left the White Hart Lane on crutches and wore a protective boot in his left foot. The 25 years old will now undergo further assessments and the injury has finished his season which is shocking and upsetting for the fans and his manager.
The England international who regularly plays for the Gunners, is currently on a season long loan deal at the premier league club AFC Bournemouth. Middlesbrough has played 33 league games so far and still has 5 games remaining against the Boro, the Black Cats, the Potters, the Clarets and the defending champions Foxes and Jack will miss all 5 fixtures due to this injury. It has been a goal less season for the young midfield warrior as he couldn’t manage to find the net for the Boscombes in his 27 outings for the club.
The Stevanege born footballer was thought to be one of the most potential prospects in the football world but he is considered as an injury prone footballer as injury has stuck with him throughout his career. He also missed almost the whole part of the last season, having played no more than 3 games for the Emirates Stadium based club. So it has been tough for the young star since the last couple of years and that his affected his football. If those injuries didn’t occur, he would have been in much better position now. But as injuries are parts of the game, he has to take it.
The Cherries’ Boss Eddie Howe, didn’t forget to appreciate his lad and labelled the incident as a big blow for his side. The 39 years old manager says that he has actually loved to work with Jack since August when the defensive midfielder joined his side on the loan deal. The Amersham born young manager admits that the Arsenal man has helped them a lot both on and off the field and also wished him the luck for a very quick recovery. Mr. Howe also thanked his fella for his effort and professionalism which has impressed the former defender very much. The Cherries will host the Middlesbrough on their very next EPL fixture on Saturday.
