Brazil superstar Neymar is cleared tax evasion case, confirmed by court

August 7, 2017 By James Lemmy Leave a Comment

Brazil and FC Barcelona superstar Neymar Jr. who had some criminal charges on him and had a long running tax evasion case running on him at Brazilian court has recently been cleared of any type of criminal charges. Last Wednesday Brazilian court gave this announcement that the Brazilian forward has been cleared of the tax fraud case.

A judge at Sao Paulo had said that they could not find Neymar guilty in the case which said that Neymar had paid less taxes than he must be needed to pay during 2011-2014.

Neymar’s father and his agent both had stated that, this court announcement has been a huge victory for them.

Neymar tax court

Neymar’s father Neymar Santos Sr. had said in the media that, it is great happiness to receive such a news that his son Neymar Jr. has been relieved from all kind of charges which had been alleged on him.

He further added that, this case is now officially closed and all the acts they did are legal now and he seemed very much happy to state that.

Whatever, Neymar has to pay the substantial sums of taxes to the Brazil government tax office.

Neymar was charged by Brazil’s federal tax office at the year of 2015 that he had evaded a sum of  19.94 million USD, while he was playing for Brazilian club Santos and Spanish giant club FC Barcelona between 2011 to 2014. Whatever, the Brazilian forward continued to deny that accusation.

However, Neymar appealed against the accusation on court and court ruled in his favor at that time.

This was another accusation other than the criminal prosecution which had been brought on him by the federal prosecutors. Whatever, the accusations do not exist now as they have been shelved.

Neymar’s father stated that, There were a suffering period of almost four years that was very much struggling to him, Neymar himself and his family and the employees of his company which was totally baseless.

He praised the system of his country that they have given the fair decision and also said that many people also doubted them in the suffering period. he said that they defended themselves very strongly that the opposition could not stand a chance and now it is pretty clear that they have not evaded a single penny of the taxes which their government deserves.

He also hopes that they can now concentrate on their work and his family can finally become relieved and rest peacefully.

Whatever, the Brazilian’s future at Barca is now a matter of interest that the Brazilian superstar has been linked with French club Paris Saint Germain as it is rumored that PSG would unlock Neymar’s buy out clause of 222 million and he himself is also interested to leave his current club to Paris.

Neymar who is an idol to the Brazilians and who has also brought an Olympic gold to their nation has said in a statement that he was happy at Barcelona even at the last week but right now he is not sure whether he will stay at Spain or not.
