Earlier this summer, the Blues are keen to land a midfielder to secure the position and at the crossing line of the transfer window, it seems they have finally got their required midfielder. They have placed a bid for Croatian international where the amount almost £25 million which is also the demanding price of the player’s current club Inter Milan. So, Internazionale would like to let him join at the Stamford Bridge hopefully before the wednesday night.
However, Italian side have concerned about the departure and was determined to fill up the gap of the midfielder and they have taken certain steps by signing an alternatives already who is Portuguese midfielder Joao Mario from Sporting CP in exchange for €40 million fee initially along with extra €5 million bonus which is the biggest signing this summer. In that case, Croat international has become outnumbered at San Siro and better to move to new destination.
Now, this 23 years old midfielder, has played for the Italian side for two consecutive years after arriving at San Siro from Dinamo Zagreb in 24th January, 2015. In first season with the Inter Milan, he made only 15 appearances with them but in last season he was staged in all competitions where he got only four league goals so far. Though, he seems to be unused at San Siro but Antonio Conte who is the current Chelsea boss has a special plan for him and also he thinks that this Croat player would be the perfect asset for his new formation.
Besides, Chelsea has already bought a couple of players this summers and also keep looking for three more signing before the wednesday deadline. Among them, they bought N’Golo Kante from the English champion Leicester City for almost £30 million and now in urgent need for his assistance.
However, Marcelo Brozovic spent one and half season on loan with the San Siro before moving Italian side permanently this summer from Dinamo Zagreb.
So, according to the reports, the deal between two clubs are about to at final stage and both are expecting to complete this transfer as soon as possible. Besides, this former Lokomotiva player, the Blues are also keen to Fiorentina defender Marcos Alonso which would be around £23 million cost.
Alongside, another rumour has spread that the regular player of the Blues Cesc Fabregas were told to leave the Stamford Bridge before the transfer window close but the Spanish international has rejected the possibility to leave the Chelsea camp this summer and desperate to fight to the last.
