Costa Rica international Joel Campbell has revealed a fact clearly after reaching at Estadio Jose Alvalade successfully due to complete 2016/17 season on loan with them that he deserved to stay at the Emirates Stadium rather than sent back to loan spell though, Sporting CP is also considered as one of the three best Portuguese club and he would be very delighted to become a part of them but he was hoping after a very impressive season with the Gunners that he would be regular in the first team of the Gunners but things were totally changed. So, he seems to be disappointed and stated that matter straight.
Costa Rican forward Joel Campbell joined Arsenal in 19th August, 2011 but failed to get work permit there by then. He had to wait until July, 2013 for this permission. He debuted with the Gunners in 2014 and in the same season, he only made four Premier League appearances. Arsenal first wanted to included him in their first team squad but failed to get work permit they were forced to give him loan. Till now, he already spent four loan seasons with differents clubs and upcoming spell would be his fifth. After completing his fourth shipped out in 2014/15 with Villarreal and returned to the Emirates Stadium, he started to play with the Gunners main squad and then he made 19 appearances and scored thrice times along with three assists which was last season performance. So, due to his considering skill, he would think that he would not use any further loan period later but it seems that he would be surplus to the Gunners boss Wenger and wanted to offload him only but not to sell him permanently. So, they just loaned him out for a season.
24 years old striker has tested his first loan period while playing with his first professional club Saprissa. The player made his highest 32 appearances with Olympiacos where he netted eight times also. However, he always showed better performance in his loan spell but unfortunately failed to impress Wenger.
Joel Campbell is also one of the best Costa Rican player currently who started to play with the national team in 2011 and since then made almost 55 international appearances with them and scored 11 goals so far.
However, this experienced winger also added that Sporting CP would be a great club for him to play and there he would expect to be regular with the first team and desperate to show a better performance there which would help their to win Primeira Liga again though they ranked in second position in last race.
