Serie A champion Juventus would probably make a move to land Spaniard Santi Cazorla in next summer where Cazorla is currently playing for English top flight Arsenal. His current agreement with the Gunners would end in upcoming season and so, the Old Lady are too busy to convince him not to sign an extension with them anymore. Though, Cazorla is a Spanish international so, Italian side would be a better place for him than London. However, Juventus is working to bolster their midfield position and they have set their first option to this former Malaga player. Besides him, they are also looking to the Zenit’s Axel Witsel.
But, considering all options, the Spaniard stated earlier this week that if the Gunners will provide another extension then he would sign the papers because he is very happy to become a part of them and wants to make his career here rather than move to the Serie A. Besides, he also added that the Gunners manager Arsene Wenger trusts him as well as all the team mates and he has got chance to play with the main squad regularly and also passing his best time so far.
However, Cazorla who has arrived at the Emirates Stadium in 7th August, 2012 from Spanish club Malaga and already featured 128 Premier League appearances in four consecutive seasons. Though, he missed a large part of last season EPL competitions due to a serious injury and only able to play 15 league appearances then. But in this campaign, he has featured all competitions with the Gunners so far and netted twice times so far. Besides, he made his highest appearances with Arsenal in all competitions and scored 29 goals
Spanish midfielder Santi Cazorla is currently 31 and he would probably play three or four more years frequently. Though, he has still one year contract left with the Gunners and Wenger reportedly like him so, he would get an extension from there.
Besides, Wenger has bought Granit Xhaka from Borussia Monchengladbach in last summer with an undisclosed fee and since then he felt satisfied about his midfield position and now, he may not want to lose his one of the favourite apprentice whom he trusted. So, Juve would face the problem to land him easily.
Santi Cazorla started his career with second team in Villarreal in 2003 and later moved to the main squad. He almost played with six different clubs along with Arsenal and most of the case, he was successful.
