October 5, 2016 By William Leave a Comment

Italian top flight Juventus are keen to bolster their midfield where they failed to fill the gap during the last summer transfer window and keep looking to complete the position in next transfer window when it will reopen in upcoming January. The boss of the Old Lady Massimiliano Allegri has searched everywhere to find a perfect long term alternative of their current midfield section and it seems that he has found finally though it would probably hard enough to get whatever he wants. He has demanded Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic who has already earned his place in team Barca but however, Allegri would probably take step for him in January, according to the reports.

However, Juventus is trying to secure their midfield position since the beginning of the season and in summer transfer window which has finished in last 31st August, 2016, they tried to collect Blaise Matuidi from Paris Saint Germain and also Axel Witsel from Zenit Saint Petersburg but did not get any luck to buy them. So, that position has remained empty. They just able to buy Bosnian midfielder Miralem Pjanic from their rival club Roma where they spent almost €32 million. Besides him, they also spent huge amount to buy a legendary Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain from Napoli for €90. Though,  they recovered their spending amount by selling their key midfielder Paul Pogba to English giant Manchester United in order to get €105 million. But since then, they suffered that position which was covered by Pogba.

Since then, Allegri used a couple of players in that position but yet to find an accurate solution to replace Pogba. At last he has finalised his eye to the Croatian international who seems a major contributor of the Catalan club. He is a regular player of the team despite being Andre Gomes who was bought by the Luis in last summer. He has started the season with the Barca first team and already found net twice times in La Liga competitions this season.

Ivan who played for a number of clubs in his 28 years old career and started his professional journey with FC Basel. Then he moved to the Schalke by impressing their manager in 22nd June, 2007 in exchange for €5 million. He made 97 appearances with the German side and netted 12 times so far. Later in 28th January, 2011 Sevilla bought him for four and a half year and the transfer fee was almost €2.5 million. He made his highest 117 appearances with Sevilla and scored 27 goals. However, Barcelona tied him in 16th June, 2014 for next five years and the transfer fee was undisclosed.
