Kevin De Bruyne doesn’t thing that Man City will be the new invincibles

November 13, 2017 by Robert Lincoln Leave a Comment

Manchester City has been an absolute fear factor in the English Premier League. They are currently playing the “out of the world” football under their Spanish manager Pep Guardiola. Their rock solid defense, creative midfield and consistent scorers at the front, have made them “a team to avoid” for the oppositions. It is never easy to play against a team who are in such incredible form. But more facts were opened up when their best footballer in the squad, who has been recently labelled as the best player in the EPL by his manager, faced the media. It is no other than the Sky Blues’ magical attacking midfielder Kevin De Bruyne!

Kevin De Bruyne

The 26 years old talked with the media and expressed many of his thoughts. The Belgian replied negatively when he was asked about whether his club will be the new invincibles like Arsenal’s 2003-04 side as he thinks that it is almost impossible for them to remain unbeaten throughout the whole season. He thinks that there are so many games for the Citizens to keep their unbeaten record on as they will face so many hard opponents in their upcoming fixtures.

The Etihad Stadium based club is currently bossing the Premier League as they are unbeaten so far in the top flight league of the England even after their 11 outings. They have scored no less than 31 goals in the 11 matches and it shows how much strong side they are as a team. They are comfortably leading the chart as they are 8 points clear from their nearest opponent and town rival Manchester United. They are also undefeated in the UEFA Champions League and has come over a team like Napoli, twice.

Arsenal who are called “The Invincibles” due to their unbeaten glory to the EPL 14 years ago, in which season they had won 26 games and drew the other 12 clashes. But Man City super star KDB doesn’t think that they are going to match that incredible record as a  major part of the season still remaining where they will have to go through very very tough tests. The former Wolfsburg talisman adds that all the EPL clubs have lot of money and lot of quality players and it’s almost certain that one day they will find a way out to beat you and as football is a game of miracle, anything can happen. He also dismissed the thoughts of his national team manager Roberto Martinez who has recently said that KDB can become as good as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
