Kevin Stewart who is an English defensive midfielder and yet to make any international appearances with the England national team and currently playing for English giant Liverpool. Though, he made his journey with the Spurs youth academy and later joined at the main team of Tottenham Hotspur in 2013 but failed to impress them and did not make any appearance with the Spurs but to spend a loan period with Crewe Alexandra while playing with them. Now, he has got chance to play with the Reds main team and this season, he has made five appearances with them including four Premier League appearances. According to the news, the Reds are going to make an improve agreement with their promising defensive midfielder to keep him at Anfield for few more times.
However, Kevin Stewart just renewed his deal in last February but the Reds believes that he deserves some more wages than before for his recent great performances. According to his last agreement in February, 2016 with the Anfield, his contract will last till 2020 though, he came to them by making only two years contract in 2nd July, 2014. But now, the Reds are set to make another extension with this former Tottenham player and already offered an attractive salary. And this time his contract will extend one more year as well.
Though, the Reds are reportedly keen to sign couple of players like Ben Woodburn and Trent Alexander but Klopp’s first priority is now to keep Kevin Stewart. They are in hurry because considering his recent performance, he would probably move to the another destination that thought. So, Klopp does not want to take any more risk but to tie him down. Klopp thinks that he has a long term future with the Anfield.
After his arriving at the reds, he was not used for the club properly. But when Jurgen Klopp has come to the spotlight by becoming the new manager of the Reds, he plans to use him and his thought is completely right. After arriving Liverpool from another English club Tottenham, he spent three consecutive loan spells with three different clubs.
In 1st january, 2015, he moved to the Cheltenham Town for just one month loan along with two more reserve players of the Reds. He played there only four appearances and netted once. After finishing the loan spell he back to the Anfield due to an injury. Later on, Burton Albion took him for another one month in 26th March, 2015. And last time, he was sent to the Swindon Town in 11th July of the same year. He suffered from ligament injury and out of the field for almost nine weeks. He was called to the Anfield in January, 2016 from his loan spell.
