Inaki Williams is a Spanish national team player who is currently playing for La Liga side Athletic Bilbao since 2014. He joined at the San Mames from Bilbao Athletic but his first professional club was Basconia. He is a well fitted striker who scored goals for the Athletic club regularly. Since his arriving at the San Mames, he made 52 La Liga appearances and scored 10 goals so far. Though, in this season of La Liga, he has failed to get chance with the first team regularly and only able to make 4 league appearances with the team. Now, he is wanted by English giant Liverpool though, earlier the news of his transfer was spread but any team did not come to a conclusion about his movement. The Reds fixed his eyes on him since long time but now they are desperate to bolster their attacking option by adding him into their squad. And in that case, they are ready to meet his current buyout clause which would be a blockbuster move for the club. The Reds are reportedly ready to spend approximately £44.6 million to land this Spaniard.
After the summer transfer window slam shut, the Reds were the first to set their target to the Spanish international but later they were faced competition from Everton. But now, Everton turned down their attention from the striker and the Reds would get chance to tie him down. However, Inaki is selected as the first choice of the Reds boss Jurgen Klopp based on January transfer.
However, Jurgen Klopp spent almost £70 million in last summer transfer schedule to buy four players but that was not so much huge and so, he would probably spend some more in upcoming winter transfer. Besides, the club earned around £74 million by selling players as well which would be useful for upcoming transfer window. Klopp thinks that spend money for the service of the Spaniard would bring them luck and 22 years old striker would play better at the Anfield than Athletic Club.
Though, the Spanish international did not have any previous experience to play with the English side but the Reds coach Klopp is very hopeful for his capability. He would be very effective for his team, he believes.
Inaki williams was called for the national team first in 20th March, 2015 but made his inaugural debut in next year 29th May, 2016 against Bosnia. He made just one international appearance for the team as well.
