Man City hammers West Ham as Jesus gets his first goal for the club

February 4, 2017 by Robert Lincoln Leave a Comment

This midweek mania became a curse for all the English giants but Pep Guardiola’s side were the only hot favourite side who still managed to secure all 3 points in this crucial match week of the league. The Citizens have completely hammered West Ham United at the London based side’s own ground while their town rivals Manchester United could only draw against Hull at the Theater of Dreams.

City’s £27 million signing who has joined the club just in this January has become the headline after the game as he earned an unbelievable full debut in a city shirt in the top tier league of the English football and also got his maiden goal for the Sky Blues, only in his 3rd outings for the EPL giants. Spanish coach Pep Guardiola completely hailed the 19 years old attacker after his dream performance against the Hammers.

Guardiola described the young Brazilian as a watermelon and said that Jesus is a mentally strong guy who always wants to win. He thinks that the former Palmeiras footballer is aggressive and has big dreams and ambitions as the young guy is looking to be something special at the world of football.

Belgian sensation Kevin De Bruyne opened the scoring on the 17th minute of the game to give his team an early lead. It was the 5th strike of the season for the 25 years old versatile midfielder who had netted on 16 occasions on his debut season after joining from Wolfsburg. The assist was provided by Gabriel Jesus. Spaniard play maker David Silva doubled the lead just 4 minutes later as the 31 years old got his 5th goal of the season. Then Jesus scored himself as the Brazil international increased the lead to 3-0 on the 39th minute with his maiden City goal. The first half-finished with the 3 goals advantage for the touring side.

In the second half referee Kevin Friend blown his whistle for a City penalty and Yaya Toure made no mistakes to convert the spot kick into the 4th goal of his team. With this goal the Citizens got an emphatic 4-0 victory. The Citizens still remained in the 5thposition in the league ladder but with this victory they have earned 46 points so far from the first 23 league games which is as same as Liverpool but Guardiola’s side are just a rank behind than the All Reds as Klopp’s side has better goal difference situation at the moment. Chelsea leads the table with 56 points from the very same number of game.
