Nemanja Matic departs Chelsea football club to join Manchester United where he reunites with his former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho. It was speculated over the last few weeks that the central defensive midfielder was keen to have a move and finally the deal was done on the Monday as the tall figured footballer moves to the Old Trafford based club after completing the formalities of a successful medical. Man Utd official facebook and Twitter accounts confirmed the transfer was fully done and also welcomed their newest signing warmly and the fans seemed delighted.
The Serbia international costed Man Utd no less than £40 million. He signed the contract on a 3 year deal and will earn £140,000 per week at the Theater of Dreams which is as same as Armenian play maker Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Spanish sensation Juan Mata. Nemanja becomes the third signing of United in this summer after the signings of Swedish defender Victor Lindelof from Benfica for £31 million and Belgian forward Romelu Lukaku from Everton for £75 million. Paul Pogba remains the highest earner among all the players of the club, who receives £290,000 as his weekly wage fee. Lukaku is just second to him with £250,000 per week. David De Gea is third in the list with the amount of £200,000 per week.
The midfield warrior joins just a day before turning 29 as the Serbian turns 29 on the very first day of the August.
