The Serbia international costed Man Utd no less than £40 million. He signed the contract on a 3 year deal and will earn £140,000 per week at the Theater of Dreams which is as same as Armenian play maker Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Spanish sensation Juan Mata. Nemanja becomes the third signing of United in this summer after the signings of Swedish defender Victor Lindelof from Benfica for £31 million and Belgian forward Romelu Lukaku from Everton for £75 million. Paul Pogba remains the highest earner among all the players of the club, who receives £290,000 as his weekly wage fee. Lukaku is just second to him with £250,000 per week. David De Gea is third in the list with the amount of £200,000 per week.

The midfield warrior joins just a day before turning 29 as the Serbian turns 29 on the very first day of the August. Actually it was the CDM’s own will to have a move to the rival team of his formal club and it was none but Jose Mourinho, who attracted him to make such big move. The 6 feet 4 inch tall player played under the Special One before at Chelsea and once again the duo reunite at the most successful club in the premier league history.

The former Kosice man said that he is delighted to join the Red Devils at an exciting time and added that the opportunity to work under Jose once again was something that he just couldn’t turn down. The Special One described the CDM as a team player and also said that the 29 years old offers everything that a manager would seek inside a footballer; loyalty, consistency, ambition. The Serbian didn’t forget to thank his former club Chelsea, the officials and the fans and also showed his eagerness to meet with his new team mates and to train with them. Last season he scored once for the Blues in the EPL in his 35 appearances.
