Italain MotoGP sensation Valentino Rossi expresses his happiness about the good chassis and confirms that it has been a good feeling. The super star finished the very first day of the Dutch Grand Prix in the sixth position which has been the 2nd best start for him in a 2017 weekend and the 38 years old put further laps in his very new Yamaha chassis. Spaniard Movistar Yamaha rider Maverick Vinales, the title leader and Friday pace setter has one of the latest frames available at the Assen. Valentino was close to a 5th spot finish but dropped a position in the afternoon as he was just behind Vinales for 0.7 second.
Rossi started to talk and said that was not a bad experience at all and he was quite satisfied. He said that he is happier especially because of having two dry practices there in a good condition and thinks that there in Assen it was never that much easy to do. The 38 year old continued that they can work more on the new chassis and confirmed that he is really having a good feeling and he have that in Barcelona too and also believes that he really can be much more competitive.
But the Italian sensation was not 100% convinced and he expressed some concerns too. He really feels that they still have a lot of works to do because he doesn’t think that the balance of the bike is 100% and told about his sufferings for having some chatters in the fast corners and summed up the line by saying that he is not fantastic! He talked about the pace and thinks it is okay but didn’t declare himself to be strong enough for the fight for the podium. The Urbino born rider emphasizes on further improvements but also said that as it was just a Friday, that was not bad at all.
The son of renowned father Graziano, also expressed his happiness about his performances. He finished 5th on the morning and 6th in the afternoon and is glad with that. He thinks that it can rain on the next day and it was very crucial to end inside top 10 positions. The 7 times Championship winner also made sure that he will have to manage between two bikes and he will definitely choose the new one. It is difficult for him according to himself but he is trying his best and will continue to work hard to move forward and to do more improvements.
