Lazar Markovic is a Serbian national team footballer who is currently under contract with the Reds where he joined at the Anfield in 15th July, 2014 in order to get £20 million from Portuguese side Benfica. As per the agreement, he will stay with the Reds till 2019. After passing one season with Liverpool, he was given loan to the Turkish top tier Fenerbahce for a season. So, he has passed last season in Super Lig where he only made 14 appearances due to a serious injury. Now, he has returned to the Anfield by completing loan season though his staying with the Reds for next summer is not sure. The Reds boss Klopp has stated this Serbian could leave the camp if he wants.
After returning to the Anfield in this summer, he has featured regularly with them in preseason tours and impressed continue but also he is linked with many clubs. Though, last evening the chief of the Reds Klopp stated that he is in good form after passing hard injury time and he is desperate to regain his previous form but the coach is not think that he is 100% fit. But also he is working hard.
According to the news, the transfer window will close in 31st August, 2016. In the meantime, anything can happen. This Serbian winger could leave or staying too while he has a option to stay with the Reds due to agreement.
The manager Klopp has stated it clearly that staying or leaving its all up to the player. He does not want to focus on it. But for now, all he wants all players of the club to start their training session and Serbian international is also part of it.
On the other side, three different clubs are keen to this player and they are all going to move before transfer window will close. The clubs are Sporting Lisbon, Schalke and Fiorentina.
This 22 year old winger has arrived there from loan with good hopes and he wants to stay at the Anfield. And also after playing with them in pre season matches by showing dazzling activities, he thinks to be perfect for the Reds first team squad. But it seems that his playing style can not match with the English football. So, it is better for him to leave the Reds while he still have another great opportunity.
He made total 19 appearances with Liverpool and netted twice where with the Portuguese side, he played with them 26 appearances and made 5 goals so far. He is also with the Serbian national team where he has joined there in 2012 and till now played 21 matches and scored 3 international goals.
