Manchester United are eager to extend the contract of Swedish superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Man Utd Manager Jose Mourinho confirms that they are ready to extend the current contract of the former Sweden Captain for another season. Zlatan joined the most successful club in the Premiere League’s history in the last summer window from PSG on a free transfer.
The 35 years old striker scored on his official debut for Manchester United to seal the community shield for the current FA Cup champions. Although his form has immersed considerably since then but the former Barca striker still managed to score 8 goals so far this season.
Zlatan’s team is currently in 6th position in the English Premiere League table, with only 19 points from the first 12 matches, 9 points behind than the table topper Chelsea. But the special one still has the faith on the veteran striker & believes he is still to fire at the theater of dreams. The Portuguese coach said that they are going to execute the option of a second season & after that Zlatan would be free to do anything whatever he wants.
Zlatan has played for different clubs in different top leagues. He was successful with all his previous clubs. In the very last season, he scored 50 goals for PSG in only 51 matches. This season when he moved to Old Trafford, the United fans hoped that he would lead them to the Premiere League glory. Although united has a poor start of the season & the premiere league glory is seeming beyond them but the former Milan striker still can lead them to the domestic cup victory or the Europa League glory for the very first time. Red Devils are currently in 3rd position in the group table of UEFA Europa League. Zlatan’s side also need to finish in the top 4 of the league table to qualify for the next season’s UCL.
Ibra expressed his thoughts when he was asked by the media & confirmed that he is feeling fresh & fit. He thinks that he feels himself in shape & the condition is good for him. He adds, if he feels like what he is feeling right now, he will certainly continue & will extend the contract for the 2nd year for the Red Devils.
Former Juventus Talisman has won at least one trophy every season since 2001 & has already won 13 league titles with different teams. He has scored 62 goals for the Sweden National Team & recently voted the Swedish player of the year for a record consecutive 10th time.
