Bragging Rights was a professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by World Wrestling Entertainment. The event was created in 2009 and replaced WWE Cyber Sunday. The show occupied the October slot of the WWE’s PPV calendar. The show was arranged twice and both the times it was held on the late October. Mellon Arena got the privilege to host the inaugural edition of the show and more than 13 thousands fans attended the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania based venue to watch the show live. The show received 181,000 PPV buys in the very first year. In the next year, the show was hosted by the Target Center. 9 thousands fans attended the Minneapolis, Minnesota based stadium to watch it live and the program received 137,000 PPV buys on that occasion. But after two editions, the WWE authority decided to not to arrange the show for any further time and the event was replaced by the returning WWE Vengeance. The basic feature of this show was the interpromotional matches.

The inaugural edition of the show featured the likes of John Cena, Randy Orton, The Undertaker, Batista, CM Punk etc. In the event opener Christian defetaed Paul Burchill to defend his ECW Championship. In the Interpromotional Singles match The Miz of Raw defeated SmackDown’s John Morrison. The Deadman took on CM Punk, Batista and Rey Mysterio in a Fatal-4-Way match and prevailed over his 3 counterparts to defend his World Heavyweight Championship. The main event of the night was 60-minute “Anything Goes Iron Man” match and it featured Cena and Orton. Cena won the match by 6-5 margin and grabbed the WWE Championship title. Another special match was played between Team SmackDown and Team Raw as 14 men Tag Team Match was played between them for the Bragging Rights Trophy. Team SmackDown had the last laugh over their opponents. In the 2010 edition, the Interpromotional match was played between Daniel Bryan and Dolph Ziggler and the aforesaid the wrestler won it after 16-minute’s battle. Kane squared off with his brother The Undertaker in a Buried Alive match for the World Heavyweight Championship. Team SmackDown once again came out victorious over Team Raw in a 14-Men Elimination Tag Team match. In the main event, Wade Barrett defeated Randy Orton and won the WWE Championship as the Nexus captain won the match by Disqualification against The Viper.
