Judgement Day was a professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by the World Wrestling Entertainment. The event got it’s debut on October 18, 1998. The Rosemont Horizon of Rosemont, Illinois got the privilege to host the inaugural edition of the show. It actually started as an “In Your House” event. But after a year gap, the show returned as an annual PPV event and was scheduled to occupy the May slot of the WWE PPV event schedule. In most cases, the program was held in the 3rd week of the May. The show was arranged total 11 times between 1998 to 2009. The last addition took place in May 2009 and it ended where everything started, back in to the Rosemont, Illinois. But on this occasion, the venue was the Allstate Arena. All the 11 editions of the Judgement Day have been held in the indoor arenas and in the United States of America. The show was eventually replaced by the WWE Over the Limit in 2010.
The inaugural edition was attended by more than 18 thousands spectators and the main event featured The Undertaker and Kane taking off each other for the vacant WWF Championship. Then the 2nd edition, which was also the very first Judgement Day event of the 21st century took place in Freedom Hall. 16 thousands plus spectators went the Louisville, Kentucky based venue to watch the program live. Once again the WWF Championship match on the card as the main event of the night, but on this occasion The Rock battled out with Triple H to defend his title, in a 60-minute Iron Man match. Once again “The Game” returned to appear in the main event of the 10th edition of the show back in 2008, when he faced “The Viper” Randy Orton in a Steel Cage match. The latest edition of the program featured Edge and Jeff Hardy as the duo squared off each other for the World Heavyweight Championship.
