Night of Champions was a professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by the WWE. The event made it’s debut back in the late June, 2007. It was a crossover with the WWE Vengeance. Vengeance was dropped in favour of it and the show took over the June PPV event slot. The event was named as the Night of Champions, as all the championship title matches were contested on this show. This popular event was arranged 9 times by the authority and the 2015 edition has been the last one so far in the history of this show.

Toyota Center of Houston, Texas got the privilege to host the inaugural edition of the event. The same venue also hosted the 9th edition of the show. As it has been mentioned earlier, the main concept of this program is that, all the WWE titles are defended. But since 2010 other non-title matches were also included. The show has gifted the fans some amazing matches to watch. The main event of the inaugural edition was a high voltage five pack challenge which saw the likes of John Cena, Bobby Lashley, King Booker, Mick Foley and Randy Orton squaring off each other for the WWE Championship.
