SummerSlam is a professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by WWE. It was debuted in the 80’s decade and since the very beginning the event is arranged annually in the month of August. It is one of the original “Big Four” PPV events produced and arranged by WWE, along with Wrestlemania, Royal Rumble and Survivor Series. More clearly, it’s considered as the second biggest event of the year, just behind Wrestlemaina and obviously it’s undisputedly the biggest event of the summer. It is one of those very highly rated WWE shows and has earned enormous popularity all around the globe. The show has been successfully entertained the WWE fans for more than 30 years.

The inaugural edition of the show took place on August 29, 1988 at the Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York. The massive success in the early years encouraged the authority to arrange it every year. The very recently arranged show was the 31st in the event history which was hosted by the Barclays Center in the Brooklyn, New York. More than 16 thousands spectators attended to join the biggest party of the summer. The upcoming event which is going to be the 32nd edition, has been scheduled to take place on August 11, 2019. Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada has been selected as the venue for the program.
