WWE Vengeance was a professional wrestling pay-er-view event produced by the World Wrestling Entertainment. The show made it’s debut in December, 2001. The show was arranged consecutively 7 years between 2001 to 2007. The 2007 edition was a crossover event with the WWE Night of Champions. The show was held in the various times of the year, mostly in the Late June or July. The 8th edition, which was also the very last edition of the show, was held in October 2011 and then the event was eliminated and was actually replaced by the Night of Champions. The characteristics of this show was, all the active Championships used to be defended there.

San Diego Sports Arena got the privilege to host the inaugural edition of the show and more than 11 thousands spectators attended the California based venue to watch the show live. In the main event of the program, world champion Chris Jericho defeated the WWF champion Stone Cold Steve Austin to become the undisputed WWF Champion. For the next 3 editions, the show was held in July and was hosted by the Joe Louis Arena, Pepsi Center and Hartford Civic Center respectively. Then the 5th, 6th and 7th editions of the event took place in the June and the venues for those occasions were Thomas & Mack Center, Charlotte Bobcats Arena and Toyota Center. The very last edition of the show took place in October 23, 2011 and AT&T Center of San Antonio, Texas hosted the event. A total of 8 thousands fans attended to watch the show live. The main event of the program featured Mexican super star Alberto Del Rio and John Cena as the duo battled out in a Last Man Standing match for the WWE Championship.
